Incredible, RH! How can such a cute little thing do so much damage?! Screening over the vents sounds like a good idea. Good luck!
This will look like I am changing the subject, since this was last mentioned 5 and 6 hours ago ... ; )
Not only was the little pest in the garage, but we now have an opening in the soffit, which is beneath the attic over the bedrooms on the upper level of the house. I heard scurrying on the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom about 1 and a half to two hours before we heard the frantic splashing in the downstairs stool.
I think we are going to put some sort of screening over the vent pipes so this cannot happen again. A strange experience, and one I don't care to repeat. The wildlife specialist, who is a retired science teacher, said that the squirrel would chew through the toilet lid, and then through the door of the bathroom. They are very destructive. They are cute to look at, just not in or around the house. It had torn up quite a bit of things that were in the rafters of the garage.
Thanks, Morris! :):):)
Thank you, Jacques!
what a beauty!!!
Oh my goodness, RH! How did I miss that puzzle of yours?! He's so darling -- until you hear the story! (Definitely better in the garage!)
Did you see the commentary about the red squirrel that was in our bathroom? It had come into our garage in August but my husband discovered its entrance and blocked that. I think it was less of a problem in the garage!

Pat -- Thank you
Roseheather -- who was your visitor?
Celeste -- He doesn't seem to mind -- probably because I'm on the other side of the river. Plenty far away.
Ank -- so glad you like the rest of the photo too. :)
He is beautiful Patti, but forget him for a moment and look to the rest of the photo. Wow. So this is wow x 2. I really hope he will stay.
He likes posing for you :)
We might have been able to contribute some food for this majestic bird on Saturday night. Our visitor was not as welcome. ; )
Thank you, Goingsilver, Chickie, Roseheather, & Suzy. :)
(Suzy -- I hope you're right -- that this is home now!)
He just went on a short journey. He knows where home is, now!
What a wonderful visitor! Makes this time special. ; )
Wow, I really like this one. It is such a pretty place you live. Thanks PLG.
