This is wonderful, chickiemama, excellent workmanship, there are a lot of different wheels out there, going back in time I think there were a lot, home made, and like yours very well made. I purchased my wheel (the one in the insert) from Alpine Artifacts in New Zealand, an Ashford Traveller, being smaller then the Traditional, because I had to travel to meetings. Thanks for sharing your Dads excellent work Chickimama.
Thank you javasage. I took lessons and spun the yarn you see hanging on it. Then I got busy with other stuff and lost interest. He borrowed one from a family member who had one passed down from a few generations and made one for me and one for my mom from the same pattern. There are no nails or screws in it. Thank you. :)
