Indeed, Pkin.... There are two of me now :-) I remember the song 'April love' too, Nellies... :-) Well.... Elvis was far more popular than Pat Boone. Graceland attracts millions of visitors and nobody ever talks about Pat Boone anymore. Mind you, I'm not saying Elvis was better. Just talking popularity here. And typo's can happen, Kittenlove, no worries. I learned to read typo's :-)
Pat Boone....all the girls swooned over "April Love"....he was my heart throb. I'm with Nellies.....Elvis just didn't have it. Thank you for the memories, starlard
Do I ever remember! Back in the "dark ages",all the girls in my class were taken out to their lockers. Teachers supervised them removing any pictures they had of Elvis. I was the only girl who didn't have any. My locker was full of Pat Boone pictures! Even got a copy of his book, "T'wixt Twelve and Twenty," for my birthday one year. Favorite movies of his were "State Fair" and Mardi Gras." Thanks for the trip down memory lane, starlord.
Yes, I remember him too. Thanks Starlord!! So 5 pm your time is ... counting on fingers ... 9 am here in Vancouver. I'll check your other account then. Thank you again kind sir !! :-)
Try again round about 5 p.m. Shazzaannie. There'll be a new one under Starlord2. Especially for the States and those who sleep late :-) Was made by special request
Bother I knew this one as well, but again I'm way too late. He was a bit before my time but I know his music because he was a favourite of my Mum and Dad. I've still got the records they had of his.
@ Pdevredis: I will show you the Eternal Hall of Fame tonight (under my extra nick) or maybe tomorrow. And guess what? You are on it. That means that you were the first to solve a band or a TV-series :-) @ Squishy: Of course you are on the EHoF too :-) All the names of the winners of at least one 'Do you remember' are engraved for the world to see and to stay there till eternity. Check again tomorrow morning :-)
I had no doubt that it would be quite cryptic!! I'd even tried Sun King, Duke Twinkle, Super Nova... but the comic book line of enquiry was quite obscure, so maybe.... I'm not disappointed with Starlord2 - easy to remember. I'm named after our rabbit - Squishy - sadly no longer with us. See you later!
Finally, someone I recognize! Believe it or not, I even read a book he wrote, way back in my dumb (well, dumber!) days...... He's the vanilla milkshake to the whiskey you've been posting! :-)))
It is so special, Squishy2... Nobody will discover it till I post my first 'Do you remember' later today (in about 6 or 7 hours). Kiddinggggg... Try Starlord2 Now isn't that original? :-)
I've searched for your new nickname - can't find it :-( I don't suppose a little clue might be coming soon? I've tried Peter Quill, Johnny Alpha and Strontium Dog to search for it, but no luck yet. I love these "Do You Remember?" puzzles btw - despite having only recently found them!!
Good morning, Bentley. No, it COULD not be Pat Boone, it IS Pat Boone :-) The doors of the EHoF swing open wide to welcome you inside. Since there is some 20 cm of snow, I think I'll update my Hall of Fame today :-)
