PM, anyone who finished this one should have a medal!! Yours is in the post!! LOLOL

PuzzleMac

After looking at this for almost 8 hrs, I had temp blindness!! All I could see were the b&w patterns in front of me! Ouch!!

tugman22

MNP, A VERY good time! Well done and thanks for commenting!!

some you 'see'. some you just do because you started it:)

tugman22

You know that, if you open it you will do it, StudyBreak!! LOL Good to hear from you!!

StudyBreak

I think I know better than to touch this one, lol. Though at 442 pieces, you could have made it a lot harder. Maybe I'll just open it and take a peek at the pieces. :)

tugman22

Keep at it, Magda. It WILL feel good as that last piece "clicks" into place!! LOL

oldiepumpkin

Well I am still at it, pose 2 to 5 pieces a day. Remember, going for the World record for the longesttime in Puzzle solving. Am at 36 % And around 5 1/2 hours.LOL

tugman22

well done, catty. everest is climbed!! lol

I DID IT I DID IT WOOP GO ME :D

tugman22

Catty, it does get easier!! Just as you put the last piece in place!! LOLOLOL

56% and its taken me 7 hours blimey gonna take me forever oh well im not giving up no way

tugman22

Great comment, Blitzy!! Leader board too!! Well done!

tugman22

You NEED to enjoy a challenge for this one, catty. Thanks for commenting!

I did IT I DID IT! now to the loony bin^^

well ive done about a quarter of it and so far its taken me about 6 hours but i like a challenge :)

tugman22

catty, it took ALL of us a GOOD while!!! i hope you are "enjoying" the challenge!! lol

this puzzle is taking me a while

tugman22

i like to pose a few REAL CHALLENGES on the site, AD! i'm glad that you joined in the fun!! lol

What a fun Challenge! Took me a long time.

tugman22

You could be heading for a record, Magda!! LOL. I wonder what the longest solve time is?!!!

tugman22

BOTH, Kathy!!!;-PPP

oldiepumpkin

Could be 30 hours, lets see. I am still surprised when a piece really fits!

katwoody99

Wow, John - crazy close on such a big jig! I'm getting a little better I think... or perhaps just a little crazier:-)))

tugman22

Nice to hear from you again, Ignatz! You DO like a challenge!! LOL

tugman22

Magda, I had one person tell me they took 24hrs to complete one of my jigs!! Staying power!! LOL

oldiepumpkin

Well, I am still at 29%. Work sometimes for half an hour without posing a single piece. Well, I might get into Guiness Book of World Records, if it goes on, for the highest score, maybe 20 hours? LOL

Can hardly believe it's over - 18:28:55 - and I made the board ... for now. PHEW!!!

tugman22

That was sooooo close, Kathy, but the best man won in the end!! LOL

tugman22

:oDDDD!!

aishahm

2:10:20 and 23%. I may have to wait until the monitor comes off later this week. I've been setting it off all night. LOL!

tugman22

Like the new tag , GS!! LOL

tugman22

4:3o = 48% . Getting there!!

Thank you all for your kind comments - I still don't know why I am spending all these hours everyday when I had definitely intended to give it up in the new year. These big ones are just too hard to resist!

Granny Stonehengia

tugman22

Do you want me to lie to you?!! LOL

aishahm

That is not what I wanted to hear! You are starting to scare me now. I need words of encouragement!

tugman22

I'm on 2hrs for 35% so i'm looking at a similar time!!

aishahm

OMG! I just saw Kathy's time. We usually finish in the same time zone. Yikes!

tugman22

Good to hear that, Magda! Give it a rest for a while!! Speak soon!:-))

oldiepumpkin

Thanks John. Oh I will finish it in time. I dont like things left unfinished. But as you say, its no more fun. Thanks.

tugman22

Hi, Kathy. I'm struggling with this one myself. We will see! ;-)))

tugman22

Stonehengia, my turn to eat humble pie!! I knew we had had this conversation before and I thought Aishah was wrong. I should have known better!! LOL You are a very good "jigger" and that is the main thing! Take care!!

tugman22

Don't worry, Magda! These are very tough. It's no use doing things if they are not fun!! I was pleased that you gave it a try!! If you like a jig and want a different size(number of pieces), just let me know, roughly, how many pieces and I'll post it for you!! :-))

katwoody99

A toughie for sure! Granny Stonehengia, you are amazing! John, I expect you will be closer to her time than to mine, but I had fun anyway. LOL!!

aishahm

Granny Stonehengia. Has a nice ring to it. I like it! : )

oldiepumpkin

2.45 and still 25%. I give up. I used to do those 1000 pc. Ravensburger Puzzles. On a big cardboard, during the nights under the bed. So I used to place sometimes 10, and if I could more pieces. So I will do this one the same way, taking maybe one week to finish it--every day a bit. Sorry, I lost the challenge!

oldiepumpkin

Hi grandma stonehenge! You seem to have nimble fingers! congrats!

Aishahm, thank you for putting the record straight - and Tugman , I am definitely not a bloke!!!
Maybe I should change my name to Stonehengia ?
I am now actually a granny so from now on if you refer to me call me granny Stonehengia!

oldiepumpkin

2 1/2 hours and 25%. Only posed 3 last half hour. This is horrible. Yes I know, make it bigger and then move about...impossible!! Enough for today!

tugman22

I do them a different way to you, Magda, as I couldn't deal with small pieces! I get headaches no matter what the size of the pieces!! LOL

tugman22

Ah, thanks for that, Aishah!! I remember there was a gender confusion!! LOL

aishahm

Stonehenge is a female. I called her a he and she corrected me. So now I say she.

oldiepumpkin

yes, it went quite well for the frame, but now I am stuck. have done big ones before, with disastrous results, all these tiny pieces give me headache.

tugman22

Isn't stonehenge a guy, Aishah? I think someone made the gender mistake before. Whatever, they ALWAYS do an excellent time!!

tugman22

I wonder how many "stars" we can group together this time, Kathy?!! We had three before!

tugman22

Magda, you are doing really well, too! I'm being passed by everyone!! Have you done any bigger jigs before?

tugman22

That's a REALLY good time, PAT. I think I need to try harder!! LOL

aishahm

Stonehenge just posted a decent time on the board. Unfortunately, my times are normally double hers. So I'm thinking it may be a while before I finish

oldiepumpkin

1 hr and 21 %. In the last half hour I could pose ca 10 pcs, and it was a big surprise, to see that they fitted. Can anyone tell me, why I am doing this?

katwoody99

Interesting ... like John, I'm at 24%; just over his time at 1:48!

oldiepumpkin

Just done the border ca 18 % in ca 25 or 27 min. The pieces are so tiny. And now its time to sleep. Good night-

pdevredis

19%=30 minutes, but all that means is that I have the frame done.......

tugman22

24% = 1: 40. I hope for sub 6hr!! Finished for today. Good luck everyone working on this one! :-))

tugman22

Running all day? I presume you mean "busy" as opposed to "athletic"!! We all know we're insane for doing these jigs!! Join the gang!! :-))

aishahm

I haven't started this one yet. Been running all day. Now looking at the only time posted, I beginning to question my sanity for even thinking about this puzzle. LOL!

tugman22

It's like climbing Everest, Ignatz. Because it is there!! LOL. I'll see you at the finishing line!!

I'm at 20% after over 2 hours ... have to rest the eyes for a bit - OMG, why do we do it?

tugman22

Something to aim at, Pat! LOL

pdevredis

Well, someone finished it.......... OMG.............

tugman22

would have if i could, aishah!! lol

aishahm

OMG! Yes, I will probably need to turn off the monitor, but there is a limit of 4 hours at a time. Looking at your time, I may need to do two sessions. Imagine if you had done 540 pieces!

tugman22

I'm on 14% and 50mins at the moment, Aishah. It won't be as bad/good as the "gold fabric" but will keep you occupied on your "snow days". If you still have the monitor, switch it off while you do the jig!!LOL

tugman22

Good to hear that you will join in "the madness", Kathy. :-))

aishahm

Funny, the gang's all here and no solves yet. John, I believe you have created a supermonster. : )

katwoody99

Here I am! Will probably tackle this one gradually, but tackle it I will:-)))

tugman22

I couldn't let you do it without me, could I? LOL

aishahm

John, you are joining us tortured souls aren't you? After all you are the Frankenstein of this monster. LOL!

tugman22

Good to hear from you, girls!! Enjoy!! LOL

aishahm

Pat, how did I know you would stop by? And you are as much a jigidi addict as I am if you going to work this too. Once Kathy gets here, the gang will be all here! : )

pdevredis

This is definitely a monster-monster, not a goldi-monster! Hmmmmmm.................... maybe Ill try it..... !

aishahm

OMG! John, you are insane! Well, I think it's me that's the insane one, considering I am planning on working this one. I got my snow day and I'm almost positive I'm getting two in a row followed by my regular three day weekend. : )
