It is fun to watch them training the little ones.

jimbos

Arrrrrrrr thats great Skpy-can just imagine that happening!

skpy

Sometimes I think she does this on purpose to stretch them though. At our summer place, we have a cement dock out front. It is solid so nothing can go under it. It has settle a bit and normally is only about 3-6 inches out of the water. (Depending on which end one is standing and whether it has rained recently.) Sometimes, the Momma Duck will swim silently around the dock and then start calling to her little ones. They get all flustered and try to hop up on the dock to run over to her. But, once in a while, one will swim around the dock to find her. She usually seems to be telling it off if it does. And the little one will swim back to it's brethren and try to hop onto the dock as well.

jimbos

skpy
