Well, Schutkleur, we are to have freezing rain overnight, with increasing tempertures tomorrow, and a prediction of temps in the 50's on Tuesday. I think I will keep my curtains closed! ; )
Thank you, Chickiemama, Puzzaddled, Mhughes, and Fodus.
Chickiemama -- weather forecaster said something about a coating of ice in parts of our state of 1/4th inch. I agree about the opportunity to get some good pictures, and, it is supposed to warm up here also on Monday; they are also predicting 50 on Tuesday, and that doesn't sound good to me. I prefer the cold.
Puzzaddled -- Yes, that storm that came our way was also trekking across to the and north.
Mhughes -- I think I will always have to live where there is snow part of the year. I really like winter, and would be disappointed not to have that season. Last winter, in our area was exceptionally short. It was warming up in February!
Fodus -- farmers here in MI have always called a snow in March "poor man's fertilizer." I know they usually like to see it on a winter wheat crop. In addition, farmers also rely on snow cover to add to the ground water amounts. We had so little snow last winter that we experienced quite a drought in this area.
Hi, Rose...Michelle here. It looks like you got about the same amount that got dumped on us yesterday. The plants can use the insulation (rain wiped all the previous away and then it got bitter cold...) I'd like to keep a layer too but who knows, with this wacky weather this winter...
Speaking of another snow, we are due for freezing rain and snow tomorrow evening, then a warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday. I would like to have it stay cold and keep the snow. ; )
