Ah, yes. There would never be anything bigger, when you wore your Sunday best to travel, there was leg room, and everyone was served a hot meal that wasn't a bag of chips or peanuts. Although, I do prefer the new enclosed walkways instead of roll up stairs and dodging the elements to get into the terminal.
I have to agree toms1880. The Lockheed Constellation, Super Constellation, Military C & RC 121 is a beautiful Aircraft. Used by several Presidents, Truman Ike & etc, has been in operation since prior to WW2, thru the Viet Nam era. Equipped with both the R-3350, & R-3350 Compound, it served its Country well. Got some hours in flight & many in maintenance with it.
