Red wing blackbird on the feeder - just landing

Glad you liked it, PLG. I think the Red Wings are ready to depart this part of the country for a while. I was surprised to see these today, there were two. I don't recall seeing them here in the winter, and their song in the spring is always a harbinger, maybe more so than seeing a robin.

Thank you, Laurajane. Yes it is, but it is located on a NW corner so it doesn't get a lot of light and doesn't turn complete red in the fall. We moved it out from under an overhang on this side of our house. Strange place to put a shrub! ; )
