Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Sleeping next to Irving, I know he is awake when he pokes his head above the blankets, much like that little, red thingy you stick in a turkey when you roast it in the oven. Imagine waking to this smile. I couldn't possibly love him more. That face makes me stop reading immediately to go and fetch him some water and breakfast.

Well, I certainly had no real appreciation for reptiles 16 years ago when Irv was given to me as a birthday gift by a six-year-old, and of course that means I didn't really "pick" him. Having said all that, I cannot imagine life without him, nor would I have ever guessed that so much personality could be packed into less than seven ounces of any living thing. If you had told me then I'd let a turtle sleep in my bed, I would have laughed, but that is exactly where he is every night.

Feel free to become his friend on FACEBOOK, where he posts daily photos, videos and other various turtle stuff. He is Irving A. Turtle.

i have been watching your puzzles and it is obvious you really love him. i love all reptiles but i don't think i ever would have picked a turtle this size for a house pet. (maybe a python). when i was a kid we had a iguana that everybody loved and who eventually grew to 4' long, it makes me happy to see people who really bond with any animal, i hope irving lives for a long, long time
