Hello Linda - so glad my doll brought back some nice memories. What a thoughtful final gift for your daughter. The doll in the puzzle was actually a gift to my own daughter when she was 8yrs old. I'd had to go to Brussels with my mother as it was her sister (my aunt's) funeral. My daughter couldn't come so I bought her this doll. All the girls in the family had a Belgian Lace Doll of some description or another, so it seemed right that she should have one too! Mine was in a blue dress, my aunt's was in a brown dress, and I can't remember what colour my mother's was. Now I've been reminiscing! Thanks for dropping by.
WOW! So lovely! Thanks for sharing this puzzle. I had a friend years ago that made beautiful doll clothes and she kindly gave my youngest daughter a porcelain doll and a whole set of victorian era clothes including underwear and nighties. My daughter spent many happy hours playing dress up with her doll. The final gift was a dress for my daughter that matched one of the the doll's dresses. It has been years since my friend died and seeing this doll brought her back to life for me. Thanks again.
