as little as 4 in. of the right ice will hold a car 12in. will hold a trailer truck with load we race cars on the lakes around here and i have seen a few ice shakes but never one with the front of a car to move it around big screen tv, recliners, stoves, toilets, and other comforts yes but never with car power
This is unknown here. Ice fishing is something we don't do. Simply we don't have the ice long enough. And there will not be many times you can use something heavy as that on the ice. Jan.4, 9:05AM, it is 8.7 degrees. That's too warm, normaly it has to be 4.5 now. Mostly half to end Jan it becomes colder. Feb is mostly the coldest month. Mostly then we have ice.
Someone is thinking outside the box here, but I still wouldn't want to drive that onto a frozen lake, my luck it'd fall in! When the ice is right, they put ice shantys up here, I'll have to see if I can spot some.
Hey, I want one of these so I can get out of Texas before summer and go someplace cold for a couple months! Of course I must downsize first. This would be even better than a igloo, yes?
Isn't it wonderful what we learn on this site, fodus? I love the way our jigidi friends comment to our puzzles, and some of us who are on the other side of the World, certainly learn a lot about their ways!
While fishing through a hole cut into the ice, the fisherman or woman can stay quite cozy and have a bathroom and whatever else they may need inside their "fishing shack" Usually they are on ski-like runners to move them about the serface of the frozen lake.
I sure do, Ank, although this one is motorized and can be shifted by just turning on the ignition!! It looks as if it would be more comfortable too - a home away from home, so to speak!! PG wouldn't get his butt frozen off fishing from this one!!
