Poor long suffering husband of mine! I caught a glimpse of the late day sun shining through the marsh grasses as we were driving by and I asked him to turn around and drive back just so that I could try to take a photo. I didn't quite get the quality that I wanted to show...they appeared both translucent and luminescent to the naked eye.

No prob, Francine! I don't know when I'll get to it but at least I have enough to play with! ;-D

I hope that they are lovely dreams, Hanne! Thank you! :-D

Thanks for your generous offer; not necessary as I've photographed these many times in past years. Shall look forward to your rendition.

Good Morning, All!

Hi, morenamad, glad to meet you on my puzzles. I'm happy that you liked these and I told my sweetie that you were happy that he turned around so I could get these. (Wasn't the safest road section to get these either, so double bonus points to him!)

Patti, you'd have wanted to capture them too: the low late day sunlight coming through them was wonderful! 'Twas one of those out-of-the-corner-of-your-eye moments that you don't often get to go back and see what caught your attention. I thanked hubby for you, too!

Yup, Francine, we do! (It wouldn't be because we live near the same kinds of scenery, would it? LOL) The wind was a problem yesterday (not to mention that bitter cold) ...this was the best of six shots. Glad you liked it...if you like some to play with, just let me know! ;-D

Interesting view, Faye! I thought they almost looked like that textured grass cloth wallpaper that designers like to use. I was rather amazed that the individual stalks were as defined as they were!

Thanks, Suzy! Hope that you're still having fun!

Thanks, Li! They were so beautiful and it was only for such a short time...they caught the fading sunlight at just the right low angle and then the trees blocked it. (I may end up fiddling with some of these in Photoshop to see if I can create a virtual painting.)

It looks almost like a painting, Michelle. I like it very much, even if it didn't turn out the way you'd hoped.

A nice set, Michelle!

When you look at the stems they look like a textured oil painting.

Michelle, we do like the same scenery. I too tried to take same photo while in marsh last week -- sadly it was too windy. Great shot, thanks. :)

Still very beautiful! Definitely caught my eye! Thank you -- and thank your hubby for us! :)

morenamad

They are beautiful, and I'm glad you troubled your husband. Thanks!
