Sorry, Marlandza - I had no intent to insult you. I wasn't aware of the UK idiom for this tiny boat. My bad - I can't even read British fiction because the idiom defeats me. ♥

The word kayak originates from the Greenlandic Inuktitut language, where it is the word 'qajaq'. In the UK the term canoe is often used when referring to a kayak.
It's an interesting read.

Be grateful - they were floating things - at least I didn't say "boats". But may be that would have been better.
