The LDS Temple in Hamilton NZ is beautiful and at Christmas many are drawn to see the amazing lighting they do each year. I was fortunate enough to see inside the temple before the dedication. I remember the Baptismal font I think it was and it was supported by the twelve oxen, one for each tribe of Israel.

Glad you were able to see some of the pictures. I want to go to the open house with my son and grandsons, granddaughters and my daughter. He is getting tickets for us. Hopefully he will be able to get all the tickets. Take care. Naoma

I tried that URL, but it doesn't seem to be working, so I Googled a few words that seemed likely, and found several sites with videos of the interiors of several temples, and others with still photos. How very lovely they all are! And the settings, and the landscaping, are also wonderful!

It is a new Temple and will be dedicated in September. As soon as it is dedicated, only LDS with a Temple Recommend allowed on the inside of the Temple It is open to the public for a month, before the Dedication, so that any one can see how beautiful it is inside. Hope that helps. If you live in an area that is building a new Temple, Ask around and see if you can get a ticket to visit during the open house before the dedication. Naoma

I thought that only those who belonged to the LDS were allowed past the vestibule. Is this a new policy, allowing others into the rest of the temple?

It is open to the public from 8-18-12 for 1 month.
