Hi Morris, really nice picture mate, thanks. I was reading that there are about thirty different Ironwood trees throughout the world and it is also one of the largest and longest surviving plants in the Sonoran desert reaching 45ft high.
That is the common name of the tree, tex! It is a very hard dense wood. i was also told once that they used tu burn it with the coal in foundries years ago. thanks!
