I think it's in the center and there are many shops, and else they are close. For shopping is Amsterdam the right place. Thanks Laura.

In the late 90's I stayed with a cousin as the prices were sky high. He had an apartment on the main canal. Very beautiful, I would have been happy staying in the lobby:-)

Well most of the big hotels are first class and EXPENSIVE. The sevice 100%. Im not so sure where this one is actually.
