Why are you reporting this puzzle?

This common sparrow is enjoying a few minutes in the sun. Taken Mon, Feb 2, 2015 in Litchfield, IL.

Murphy came home today with his back foot bleeding. He may have been in a cat fight. I washed his foot off and he finally settled down to sleep in my bed. I can't tell what part of his foot was injured, yet. He won't let me touch it. The bleeding is slowing down now. Poor fellow!

Poor Murphy hope he will be ok ... Just be careful as they can get infection real easy ...

Thank you for the comments and well-wishes for Murphy. Today he seems to be in less pain, but his foot doesn't look so good. He did eat a full bowl of his food and used his box, which I brought in from the garage and placed close by. I will give it a few days. If his foot doesn't improve then I will take him to the vet.

Nice photo and I'm not seeing snow back there. Have you had much? Tell Murph he has to go to the vet if its not all better soon. It'll get better real fast, then. Do you have neighbors close by? They wouldn't set a trap or something if he's killing birds at their feeders...

Poor Murphy.....I think snooker is right, not cat fight but something else...I hope he will improve :)

He may not have been fighting - more likely would have a head or neck wound if he was. Could have stepped on glass, jumped on something and got a splinter or torn it on any number of things. He probably won't let you look at it either. Only one solution - and he won't mind it either after a few days. :)

Cute photo, thanks Laura and poor Murphy. I do hope he heals well. Our big old male cat (speyed) used to fight a lot and get wounds, but we don't shut our cats in, so that is a hazard. Hugs.
