She makes amazing cakes. I published one a while ago which was a laptop which she made for my oldest son's birthday. The best part is that they are so delicious. Nothing like the overly sweet store bought cakes.
The lady did an exceptional job!!!! Brought a smile all the way down to Georgia :-)))) Thank you Edie. I have throughly enjoyed sharing your Easter delights!!!!!! Kathy :-)
Thanks Dagmar. Take your time, there's no rush.
And with this delicious sight I finish my tour of your Easter. Somehow my Easter got lost on the way. I managed to make an Easter cake this year and some Spanish torrijas, but that was about it. No egg painting - only virtual ones :)) - no little nests, no twigs with hanging eggs. I must be getting old :)).I loved your Easter table and your stuffed animals. It's always nice to have things like this, they surely bring back many memories, like the painted eggs I still keep from the time my kids were small. :)) I never tried painting quail eggs, but perhaps when I have got grandchildren I will get inspired again. There was no custom at my home for baking special Easter cookies but I don't really know what the difference is between a German Easter and a Canadian one. :)) There are no similarities between a Spanish and a German Easter. Spanish children have no idea what a Easter bunny is and what it is supposed to do, except for my nieces and nephews and some other strays that follow old northern tradidions. :))Thanks for an entertaining time tonight but now I must be off to bed, we started daylight saving time this weekend and getting up is horrible. I hate it when they take my well-deserved hour of sleep from me. LOLP.S.: I'll write back to you as soon as I can manage. :))
Almost too cute to cut, but too delicious looking not to!
thank you verry much!
Too late. One piece left and it's for my breakfast. Sorry
save me a piece please!
Isn't that nice, no calories. Yummy in the tummy
This looks good Edie, thanks
No Ardy, those are candy eggs. These cakes are made to order by a lady that works with my daughter's mother in law. Every time we get together she's always the one who has to bring cake. All butter and lots of eggs. It's so delicious.
It's lemon Kathy.
Beautiful and yummy looking. Are those quail eggs hiding in the green grass around the edge? So creative. Must be really satisfying to be able to make something like this to bring so much pleasure. Thanks, Edie, for sharing.
I loooooooove the chicks!! What flavor is it??
