Mais oui!
If you'd like my thoughts on Culloden, Andrea, email me - fingal6088@aol.com

Andie2a1383

THANKS Moray ,yes Andrea's my name and one more reason to feel linked to Scotland... thank you for explaining the vote to me.Knowing how "different" you have always been from the religious and linguistic point of view, with so much "identity" of your own,so many ressources, and in remembrance of Culloden and ...Braveheart I thought THIS was the opportunity and expected independence for months but then you are probably right : too early. None of my Scottish friends was able to explain things clearly but then they all live abroad ,so they voted in favour of it ,having a different point of view....So maybe one day perhaps in 50 years' time the situation will change.
Have a nice day and let's keep in touch, shall we?

Don't you worry ,Moray ,getting mixed up with foreign names is just normal .After all we have "Stéphanie" which is a girl's name, and so close to Stéphane...!
To be quite honest I really was wondering about airighdrishaig as being or not a Scottish Christian name (had no doubts about your friend "Hamish" though) ,so in a way I'm glad it's just "Moray" ,with a much easier spelling !
I have been reading "outlander" ,(hey, Jamie Fraser ,that's what the hero's called ) ,or some of it I should say ,and am fascinated by the Scottish names and History.Have always been actually ever since I read about Mary Stuart ,François II de France's wife, when I was very young...And Scotland was very close to us ,for centuries.

Andie2a1383

Wow again ,what a handsome young man !!! Congratulations ..
I had a look at the videos (Dashing white sergeant , waltz for Tracey ,Croatia ) and people are enjoying themselves indeed. Keep up the good work Will ..Sorry I can't invite you to my kids' weddings, Anaïs (girl) and Stéphane (boy) don't seem to be ready to get married soon although they 've both got a steady boyfriend/ girlfriend... !

Andie2a1383

Wow ,that was a big tour and you saw some of France's most beautiful sites then. So this is what you should do : get or hire a motorhome and re-do it by visiting one place every two days ..then no stress about driving and just the pleasure of seeing nice spots again....and add Aubigny sur Nère to the trip.. That's what we (and our English friends ) do..and we've been about everywhere in France.

So Mairi Anne is one year younger than Anaïs..My second child ,Stéphane, was born in 1986 .Do you have other children if I may ask ?

Andie2a1383

Did you ? how lovely ! Where did you go ? Paris I suppose...
And that year my first daughter Anaïs was born...

Andie2a1383

Well fate was on your side airighdrishaig and it is a beautiful story. Of course we sometimes wonder where all the romance has gone but we still share so much...

Andie2a1383

Dear Janet ,that's just fantastic ! And how lovely to have Scottish ancestors.
I love Scotland and Scottish History ,Scotland was so close to us a long time ago, when John Stewart Darnley fought for Charles VII and was awarded the title of Lord of Aubigny, and we still have links ! Have you heard of a place called Aubigny sur Nère ,the City of the Stuarts ? Here the commune celebrates every year ,on Bastille Day (14th of July) , the" AULD ALLIANCE" ,commemorating 400 years of French-Scottish History .

Marian I'm thrilled to see this castle and yes it is Eilean Donan castle and WAAAAY back this belonged to my Scottish ancestors! No longer sadly. A very special castle to my family and my sister visited it when they were in Scotland. Thanks so much, hugs.

Andie2a1383

Well that was a quick decision !! But I'm sure you have no regrets about it 34 years later...
I haven't...:-)))

Andie2a1383
