You can eat all the inside. It's a little slippy and juice, sweet and acid. It's a seasonal plant that grows in hot regions, particulary in Brazil Northest. I hardly ever buy jaca 'cause it's very large and my family is small and also 'cause it decays very fast. There are some frozen pulp. Maybe you can find it in 46 (Little Brazil) street in NY.
