I just love the picture of the sun just barely shining through the snow-covered trees. Very nice photo.

I came from the Bay Area too! I looked around your area when I was house hunting. I ended up in Mariposa. Actually, it's Bear Valley, a small ghost town a few miles north of Mariposa. Not THE Bear Valley.

We're at about 2600' at our place, and yes, you're right, the snow doesn't last that long. But that's okay - I'm not crazy about driving in it so I just tend to use it as a good excuse to telecommute for the day! I love living where we do, we moved here 10 yrs ago from the Bay Area.

Aw thank you! Yeah, the snow is already melted and I miss it. It doesn't tend to hang around as long at 2000 above sea level.
