Hanne, The arch in the picture produces an optical illusion. Sometimes I see it recessed back with a floor. Sometimes it looks like the outer edge of a concave structure extending out. Sometimes it seems to be the ceiling of the arch. I'm guessing in reality the paintings are on the ceiling of the arch. Am I right? Really interesting picture. Thanks, Hanne.
