Dondi and Snooker....wasn't it just a rush???? We were in a raft (2 of us) with an experienced guide dondi. I would do it again. There are some good places on the Hudson and the Black Rivers, Dondi. Certainly there MUST be some in VT and NH??? Robbie-You are too, too funny. Old avatar will return at some point. I just needed a little spring. :) PG-No pix of me, sir. You never ran the rapids with them so close? What's the matter, you???
This is definitely on my list. I've canoed up to Class III, and watched kayaks in Class IV, but I'd love to do some Class V with someone else doing all the setup! Limited opportunities in New England, and I haven't researched them yet....
Yes I did a class V once, I was sent out a lot for the cane and spent a lot of time in detention!!! Never done this and really don't want too, you lot are very brave PKH and this is a very cool shot. Nice new avatar although will miss your last one!!
Pumpkin is that you with the mouth opened? We had a class V down the road from us in PA and there were always people going down the road to run the little fellow. It is a rush to say the least.
If you have not white water rafted, and can still do it, I recommend it! A friend and I did class V rapids on the Youghuigheny River in Friendsville, Maryland, a number of years ago. It was an experiece I will always remember. It was a real rush, chookies! Maryrob-Having rafted, you know how you feel as you are barreling down those rapids! :)
