Hi niccolino! Thank you for your wonderful comment! Yes, I love old trees too. And you're right they are particularly beautiful when we can see their trunks and branches!
Wonderful old tree - yes, if only it could talk it would tell a fair few tales! I love trees, old ones especially. They stay strong in all the elements and look beautiful all year round, especially in the Autumn and with snow on them. Thanks for posting.
Hi Sue!! Cartier Street is in Vancouver just one block away from Granville. It is in a lovely area with lots of beautiful old trees. But Lonsdale is in the city of North Vancouver which is across Burrard Inlet. North Van is a suburb of Vancouver. We are part of the Greater Vancouver area but technically we are a separate city. And you are right ... the east end of Vancouver is a more ... um ... challenging place to live. I'm glad my pictures are bringing you some happy memories! Cathy
Hi cevas, is Londsale Ave near Cartier Street? This neighbourhood looks familiar. My brother lived on Cartier in the early '70's and my nephew now lives in that neighbourood. I live in Ontario so I don't know Vancouver well enough to remember direction. I know my other brother lives in the poorer east end (Vancouver, that is) and I wish I could help him move to a better neighbourhood. Thanks for posting and bringing some happy memories back of my first (of many) visits to the real "Belle Province"! Cheers, eh?! A.A.S.
Thank you Jim and Lorna! I'm glad you like this tree. Yes, it has seen many changes.
If only it could talk!
Beautiful old tree, Cathy!
