Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Originally constructed in 1891, restored in 1994 by Design Associates, and destroyed by fire in February of 2001, the owner of this Oak Bluffs Victorian chose to rebuild the house as a replica of the original. This project was honored by the Boston Society of Architects “Excellence in Architecture” award program in 1996. The new house interiors were designed in collaboration with The Getty's Group, Inc, the nationally-recognized interior design firm in Chicago. Restored 1994 – Reconstruction 2005

Thanks Mary, they did do an accurate tasteful rebuild!

We do too, Robbie, making it easy for you to prepare for us! Thanks mate!

Thanks for that effort and sharing, Don!

Thank you ladywil!!

Don't forget the hikes along the beach, and swimming, Suzy!!

dondi

Ah, a petting zoo - big tourist attraction - would be the justification for the animals.

pumpkinhead

Spricey-Warb can submit a grant so we can all become Keepers of the Park. In that grant, he can state that there will be a small farm to raise veggies (okra for sure), grow some fruit trees (we need fresh fruit for the burl bowl that I've found), and some small farm animals. It will work. Robbie can use the produce from the garden to feed us all. Yup. It'll be just a fine place for all in jigidiland!

dondi

OK, I made them public. I've been thinking about reposting some of my more popular prior posts anyway.

ladywil

What a beautiful house and it looks so shiny as if it is not old at all.
@ Dondi...why post it private, why not public?

dondi

I posted a picture of this house back in Sep 2012, a larger frontal closeup. It was immensely popular, getting over 1000 solves in the two sizes I posted before I eventually deleted it. For those who are interested, I've reposted it privately at:

http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=D2GD77P1

It has its name on the second-floor curved porch, but also has Greek words over the second-floor windows in the front towers - I wondered about that.

For those interested in its surround, I've also posted a picture taken from the park between this house and the sea, one I took during a trip to Martha's Vineyard in 2006.

Sorry, Spricey - although there is some land adjoining it, it's a park. No farm.

Robbiel

I hope the kitchen is on the ground floor!..........Very nice puzzle Dave!

marmar4

Thanks for the link, David.
They did a fab. job on the reconstruction.

warbler

Wouldn't that be fun, Laura! Thanks!

Look out Ellen, Spricey is not only back but in top form!!

I'd write you a nice comment, Spricey but my tush is already moving!!

Spricey

Hello Sir Warbs. Well you know the rules by now...You buy it (Phew you must be riiiiccchhh!!) Actually can you buy the land next door as well for the farm while your at it. Ellen gets the tower room - she deserves it for taking care of my real estate interests while I was away. Robbie is our Chef. Suzy is in charge of Bloody Mary's /alcohol in general. All pets are welcomed and loved. The rest of Jigidi Puzzlers are there because we love them. Done Deal. And um Warbs - I'd like to spend spring there so if you don't mind getting your tush into gear - that would be lovely ;~)

PutterDutt

This is a stunner, Dave! Spricey and I will have to start arm wrestling over the tower rooms. I'm glad they rebuilt it like it had been.

laurajane

Yes, I will join the group for tea up there on the top!

warbler

I've added a website, Lyndee with many photos about the story of it and the inside.

This one is in Massachuttes, pattyanne-I didn't have time to get a website and info before now because of company at my house. Thanks

It does have a nice look, Patti! Thanks.

Thanks Beekay and pumpkin!!

However you found it Cathy, you did an awesome job!! Very impressive!! Thanks, my friend!

Hi, High, hi-yi-yi! Thanks for the comment Tex!

Its a nice crisp photo, too, cinderfire, easier to look at.

Martha's Vineyard, smllpkg! Great call, and thanks to Cevas for finding it before I even got back tonight!

Its a nice feature, Robyn. Thanks!!

lajuin

Looks like a widow's walk, so must be near the ocean.

Really do like the paint job. Thanks for this series, Dave.

robryan

What a house!!! It's a real beauty!!!I like the roof lookout Dave!!!

smllpkg101

A gem! Only one chimney seems odd for a house this size. Love all the porches and the fish weather vane on top of the cone. Seaside town, maybe? From the glimpses of the other homes, it looks like a very prosperous neighborhood.

cinderfire

Another fabulous home warbler. Has so many wonderful things to look at.

texasstar7

We could have "high" tea on the top! Lovely house, Warbler!

cevas

Gorgeous house!! Thank you Dave.

Corbin-Norton house, Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, USA

pumpkinhead

A very stately house. Thank you, Dave.

Beekay

Nice porch, the 2nd story ones are extra nice too.

PLG1958

Fabulous house!

It looks like one in Victoria, BC Canada.

lyndee

I wonder where this beautiful huge home is located. I would love to take a tour of the inside.
