We all read and give comments on both new and old puzzles. I learnt commenting by reading how others did it. Since English is not my first language, I felt a need to learn. I just noticed your newest puzzles - you're making an incredible fast progress. You are a fast learner, and I'm sure you'll have much enjoyment in creating puzzles. PJ
Well, Ladywil - you just happened to come across me then. I've had a 'puzzle mentor' and can give you advice she gave me. I'm well used to giving advice / seeking information.
One advice my 'puzzle mentor' gave me : don't say negative things about a puzzle in a comment. Either don't comment at all or focus on the positive elements you like. Look again at the comments I gave you today, and you'll se how I practise it. If you like, I can - in this place - suggest improvements. PJ

PJ..I checked them out and the only one I could use is tuxpi.com. Some you have to download, which I don't want to do. Just using a website is enough for me. Some you have to pay.
Thanks PJ. I will check out the links you gave me. On Lunapic, I do the various pieces, then I use 3D cube and then kaleidoscope it again. I can do this a few times. Some turn out as what I had before and some are different.

PJ: I did not know there were (unwritten) rules...but I will definitely try to apply it, if I don't forget. I am originally from the Netherlands. I have been in Canada since 1971. We have a friend who is also from Norway. She told me the city and I even looked it up on googlemaps but I don't remember. Only know it is far north. Have a good night and I might see you tomorrow.
I am Norwegian, in Norway. And I thought you lived in the Netherlands, after visiting your puzzles... So when I'm soon off to bed you've got about 7 more hours. (Ok, I've lived in the States, and I've studied English). I've never been to Canada, but there is much I like about Canada. We can share more about countries later...

Laywil - I get them from the net when I shall kaleido them. The others I get from my own mobil camera, from friends (with their knowing), from Powerpoint's collection of images, or "free" images from the net.
I suggest you ask your friend if you can use her all the photos she sends you, to find out if she has restrictions on any of them... PJ
PJ...where do you get your pictures from...just from the net? I guess when they are changed the original name doesn't have to be mentioned? I also get a lot of email from a friend with nice photos and hers I can use. But I will not ask every time I receive her email.
PJ.If i find the owner/author I will mention it, if there is a website I will mention it, but if I can't find anything then I presume it is free. Before the change of jigidi there was nothing that you could add (at least as far as I know).

Glad to give you advice, I had a mentor too, so I know it can be very useful. Some of the things I've told you is what she told me! I just discovered your third puzzle. It was grey - so I quite frankly, did not see it. I am one of those who usually don't solve grey or dark puzzles, this has to do with personal taste. So you just experiment. If you like to make a puzzle lighter go to the headline : "Ajust" on Lunapic, and scroll down till you find Brightness. PJ

Yes, Ladywil - that's what most puzzle creators do. I have used Powerpoint for many years, so it comes natural to me. You made a good start - and it will take some time with experimenting before you find your style. Make sure you do not copy any puzzles from others on Jigidi (it has happened and the 'sinner' got expelled for a while) You learn a lot from reading comments. So nice that you contacted me - have a good time experimenting. PJ
Thanks again...i played a bit with the website and also got some other effects, which changes the whole image. I am not very good with powerpoint, so I will keep on playing with the website, until I 'got it'.
Ladywil - there are a lot of options on Lunapic to alter the kaleidoed image: round / rectangular, colors, form, cut out shapes and so on. Go ahead and try things out - you'll be surprised at how many possibilities there are. It's also wise to read comments and look at puzzles others have posted.... PJ

Ladywil - thank you for your nice comment, glad you liked it. The original photo is of five different knitted items. Here's how I do it:
1. find / photograph an interesting image 2. go to www.lunapic.com 3. choose EFFECTS and then scroll down to Kaleidoscope 4. the program starts with dividing the photo into 5 parts and you can then choose a higher number to get more starry effects (I prefer 8 or 10) 5. then I copy the image to Powerpoint to do the finishing design / composition.
There are many programs to choose from. Lunapic is free and simple to use. I've not had the time to learn any of the more complexe ones. Please tell me if this was helpful or if you have more questions..... Groeten, PJ
This is knitted? It is beautiful...I still don't understand how you people make these things. I only know kaleidoscopes as a thing with a tube that you look through.

PJ, this is beautiful, and I really like the colors, the background is perfect and makes the kaleido really pop with the 3D added. I'm glad you played around with it, because it is not just good, it's great. Those extra tweaks make all the fidderence. Congrats. You have a winner.
