This is one of my favourites from a 3x3 collage of kaleidoscopes made from macro photographs of butterfly and moth wing scales that I posted on 9 December 2012. I really like the glow and texture of this one. And while it's not typically "pretty", I think it's really interesting. Hope you do too.

Thanks to Rob (robryan) who had posted some pics of them, leading me to explore them. They are the most amazingly beautiful things. And made extraordinarily gorgeous kaleidos.

I make my kaleidoscopes and collages using freely available images and a variety of programs. A 3x3 collage usually takes around 2 hours to make.

It gives me immense pleasure making them, and I hope it gives you pleasure solving them. :-)

Thanks Shirley! I think you're right. It IS quite elegant. Probably the most elegant thing about me! LOL Elegance don't live here. :-DDD

Or custard works well too, Nicky! LOL. I have a friend who likes to eat her apple pie, submerged in custard, and then cream on top! LOL

I'm up for it Katie! All we need now is some real cream, and we're set! YUM!!!!

Love the soft light in the center, very elegant, Thank, Kirsten.

What a wonderful pie - I can almost taste the caramel and chocolate! I reckon there's some custard there too!

Oh, let's have both caramel and coffee in the chocolate pie!!!

Thanks leet! Glad you enjoyed it. :)))

Me too Katie! :)))

Oh - yum Gwen! Now that you mention it - it could have some caramel or coffee in it too! Now that's making my mouth water. YUM YUM YUM!!

Very attractive...thanks for the puzzle.

Oh - I do love the idea of a chocolate cream pie here! Thanks Kirsten!

I like this one. It makes me think of a fancy chocolate creme pie decorated for a competition. I could just eat a slice now with whipped double cream on top!!!

Thanks Gail! I really like it for those reasons too. :)))

It's a little soft on color, but the sheen and simplicity really do make up for it, in spades. Wonderful!

Morning Ardy!! I usually only pop one of my own faves in, when I need to "make up a set" which is what I needed to do here. The next series - the French Beaded Flowers - had all 9 kaleidos selected as faves! So I needed to post one of them with this set, but only had 2 more of this series left to post. So I whacked a "makers selection" in. This one isn't my favourite colour. But I really like that texture and sheen! And there's something about the simplicity of the pattern that I like to. So I thought I would pop it in. I suspect that it won't get many solves though! Not "pretty" enough! :)))

Good evening, Kirsten. We don't often get to see or know which is your favorite. Love the central back lighting and the lacy edging. The soothing colors of late autumn. Thank you for sharing. On I go.
