Warbler you are correct about the best time to photograph this place is either around sunrise or sunset when the colors are at their best.

It is a beautiful place 0829. Especially in the morning and late afternoon for best colors.

They cut down all the trees in the petrified forest Jack, no lumber for houses:-)

Thanks pumpkin-I wasn't real excited about it when we were planning out tour but it turned out to be a very cool place to visit. I was really impressed.
