Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Brightlightie posted a fun old advert for Seven-Up here: http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=AAAS1FET
and it brought back some memories for me.

In the late '40s-early 50s, the catch phrase for the soft drink, Dr. Pepper, was "Drink Dr. Pepper at 10, 2 and 4" http://addictedtovinyl.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/6-pack-dr-pepper.jpg (Hmmm - Is this when our soda addiction problems began?)

Anyway, in 1951 my younger sisters and I were ages 10, 2 and 4. I tried mightily (but unsuccessfully) to get my parents to contact the Dr. Pepper people about using us in an ad. Pooh -- talk about lost opportunities... ha, ha!

This picture is of the three of us a year earlier (Christmas 1950) when we were 9, 1 and 3.

hi okieclem - good to see you again - this is the most delightful photo xxxxx LOL brightspark xxxx and sparklightie

A better idea would have been to buy some stock in Dr. Pepper, I am sure you would have gotten each share for pennies back in the 50's and 40's. I can only imagine what that would be worth today. A true story, Ty Cobb, the famous baseball player died a millionaire, he bought several thousand shares of Coca Cola in the early 1920's, for like a penny a share.

That was a brilliant idea. Oh well. It's a great photo. Thank you for the puzzle.

Thanks, Carolee, for your wonderful postings. That was definitely a lost opportunity. You all looked very photogentic.

My lost opportunity, I was born on January 14, 1952, which was the first show of the Today Show. I always thought it would have been neat on their 50th anniversary/my 50th birthday to have a group of individuals on their show who were born on that date. Needless to say, I didn't contact the show to make the suggestion. But then again, their 65th anniversary/my 65th birthday will be coming around in January, 2017.

Three cuties for sure! You all would have been great. :o))
