What a pity, really!!

Thank you octo-multi-momma, for the philosophy and trivia....
never-munching-furniture.......It is a very little-known fact (well, completely unknown, in fact) that Hortensia appeared in 'The Wizard Of Oz' - standing on her swing......she was Dorothy's next-door neighbour, but as their houses were 5 miles apart, you never actually got to see her clearly...........

Well, who can doubt the Uncle Bluebottle would amaze and delight all in his Twin Peaks role....he, having the same DNA, genetic code, and blood flowing through his veins as the hugely ( and do mean huge) popular Hortensia Bugosi of Swing-Standing-Fame.........

I watched every episode of Twin Peaks. For all the P-Squirts out there, here's a line for you: "Achievement is its own reward, pride obscures it."

And for the rest of you:

"Ben Horne: We've lain a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight; all of Twin Peaks' best and brightest.

Jerry Horne: We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Oh, how I remember this scene!.......I can still hear Mr.Dynch yelling those immortal words "BLUEBOTTLE - STAND STILL!"......and I did!......

playful-mindful-play........Yes, that must be the finest line in Morse code to have ever been aired.....
raincoat-infusion......There is a similar one coming up in the catalogue......We can't sell this one because Lavid Dynch owns the copyright (we are very good friends, though he does not know it)......

Oh, indeed I would LOVE one of them!!!

teamac

You should have a lamp created to replicate him in this scene and sell them in the Bugosilogue...
I think you would sell lots of them.
:^)

I'll never forget his famous line - which he flickered out in Morse Code - Let there be light - and let it be mine!!!!

lelabugosi

I feel his performance was underrated by the critics......in fact it was so underrated that not one of them even mentioned it!....
Yes, uncle Bluebottle on 'pause' would probably be the best way to view the scene....maybe settle down on the couch with one of those giant thingys of popcorn and savour his moment of glory.....

Oh, how I regret never having watched that show! Had I but known of uncle Bluebottle's star turn, I would have been glued to the TV! Perhaps I can find the DVDs of the series, and then I will be able to pause it on his scene, allowing the full 10 minutes elapse to be able to savor his triumphant portrayal in the proper time frame!

Perhaps uncle Bluebottle's greatest achievement was his appearance in the tv series 'Twin Peaks', where he played the part of a table-lamp (seen here alongside the photo of Laura Palmer).......
In the demanding role, he was required to stand motionless for 10 minutes - no mean feat for a man who was accustomed to jump up and down a lot in his attempts to fly - and when he was unplugged, he punched the air in delight, sure in the knowledge that his 2 weeks of rehearsals had paid off.......
Though his scene was eventually cut down to 12 seconds, it will remain forever in the memory of those who actually noticed it..........
