What Kind of Trees are These?

God has some wonderful and interesting things in this world. He doesn't seem to run short of creativity.

River birch - Betula nigra. A favorite tree of mine! Thanks, LJ.

Definately some kind of Birch. The new bark is an orangy-pink color and turns darker with age. The natives used to make canoes from the bark.
