my thoughts are with you both, phyllis. hoping that all goes well. :-))
Hi John, not long home from a full day at the hosp. Surgery went well except that they had to put Len back into theatre as he had a bleed, two lots of anaesthetic are really too much for his tired old body, so he is in the HDU [high dependency unit] at least overnight. He knew who I was so thats good. Time for some 'shuteye' blessing - phyllis
It will be important for him to see you when he comes around. My thoughts (and strength) go to you both. Hwyl, Phyllis!!
Thanks KateEE, I'm sure I shall be ok now, good Dr's and care makes a difference! I shall be thinking of you on Monday. I've had a BMbiopsy, and while they are not nice, there are worse tests and you should get a quick result. In any case, thinking about you, ok:-)) Let us know how you get on! The Maori people [here in NZ] have a short saying, Kia kaha, it means 'stay strong' and if you don't feel strong, then we shall for you - Hey there John, so pleased about the benign comment, not as relieved as you no doubt. Take care my friend, stay well and warm - Len has his melanoma surgery tomorrow. I'll be going over to Hamilton as I want to be there when he comes around - Phyllis
Funnily enough, Kate, I didn't worry this time. I prepared for bad news! Hey-ho, it was good news! It will be the same for you, I'm sure!! :-))A bone marrow biopsy sounds traumatic in its own right. They are, usually very quick with the results as they know how difficult the waiting period is. Just "chat away" with us if it is helpful. I liked the support that I had was very helpful.!! :-)))
I have a bone marrow biopsy on Monday - hoping they won't find any cancer cells tho it'll be several days, maybe weeks, till the results are available :-( The hardest thing (I find) is trying not to worry about it in advance If I keep turning up the volume on the radio I'll blow the speakers!!!
Sorry to hear that, Phyllis. Do look after yourself!! :-))My biopsy came back as "benign" so I can relax. My thoughts are with you "guys".
I'm sorry you've been ill again Phyllis. Puzzling sounds a great way to rest & recuperate - just don't get too cold (tho I guess you're in summer now?)
Just come out of hospital, yes again, John, pneumonia this time, so I shall be catching up with some serious puzzling in the forseeable future. How are things with your health John, are you ok?
