MY FAV HORSES!
wow granny, she is beautiful, ! thanks for sharing your info!
Our Petsmart has a cat rescue in the rear of the store all the time and a dog rescue every Sat and Sun from two rescue organizations. They also support Horse rescue of Aiken.
The trailer we pulled from IL to OH last year was to rescue dogs, the man was rescuing from being put down. He had I think over 300 animals. Then they had to be rescued from him. The next time you are in Petsmart ask them about their rescue operations. It is amazing.
Thanks for telling me about Petsmart rescue efforts. I buy all my dog and cat food there and, like you, always donate to the rescue fund, but I was not aware it was such a huge undertaking.
Such a beautiful horse. When these people know they can't feed their animals, I don't understand why they can't just give them away. That goes for any animal. Peyton is so lucky to have someone like you. When ever I shop at Petsmart I always give to the rescue. We have a very small trucking company and we deliver stores for Petmart. But I found out the rescue fund is for rescuing animals like Peyton. They have about 6 DC's with trailers all over the US ready to go for a rescue. We actually pulled two trailers fro IL to OH for rescues last year. It is amazing what they have in the trailers. Until you see it you wouldn't believe it and volunteers all over come to the rescue. They fly them to the rescue and put them up in motel. All paid for by the fund. They even train the volunteers how to handle the animals. It is amazing.
She's looking really good and how lovely that at her high age she now has a huge pasture to run around in... I wonder what she has seen in her lifetime.
She is beautiful Sure doesn't look her age
Hope she finds a wonderful home
you do great Thanks
Good for you! She looks wonderful now. Great work you are doing!
I forgot to add---Peyton is a 28 year old gaited Tennessee Walker. She moves and rides like a dream.
This is Peyton, another rescue horse. When I received her in October, she was extremely thin--her ribcage and hip bones were quite prominent. She had an open, oozing sore on her belly and a torn vulva. She was so "down, that she had trouble stepping up into the trailer. This is what TLC and regular groceries can do.
Peyton is available for adoption through Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.
