Birds in my yard are feeding one another, when they are beak to beak -- the cardinals do this so that one can stay at the nest. I've also seen parent birds feed their young in this manner. So perhaps not a "kiss" but sustenance. These red birds remind me of cardinals, but the added blue feathers are striking.
