Why are you reporting this puzzle?

My brother was a survivor of the Indianapolis that sank off the coast of Philippines during WWII. This is the hospital ship they were on after being rescued ..

Sis I Googled too and found this : www.ussindianapolis.org

and I found this: www.ussindianapolis.org/woody.htm

Special that second one is something you will want to read. It's the story of one of the survivors. I do understand your brother can't talk about it.

Pat, I just googled USS Indianapolis and it gave me the shivers. What I read was enough to understand possibly why your brother doesn't speak of it. It is incredible that he survived.

Oh my goodness - I guess talking about it could bring back some painful memories, but I just hope that your nephew wrote it down for future generations... Thanks Pat.

Gary ... I always said he should write things down that happened that day .. But he just doesn't talk about it ..

Ardy ... I was .... We often laughed and said my mother raised two families ... Because the first two where so much older than the last four ... He did one time tell my nephew that lives in MD all about what happened ...

Lucy ... His actual birthday is friday 20th... He will be 90 ... Doesn't look it either ...

Wow, yes Pat thank your brother for serving.....

Glad your brother survived. You would have been just a toddler then. I imagine that's not an experience he wants to think about very much but needs to be shared. Thanks, Pat. Hugs.
