Thanks, whatnauts! And Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, then! For us, it's Columbus Day--"In fourteen hundred and ninety-two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue"--one of the few dates American kids actually remember...!
Thanks for the greetings. Yup, it's our Thanksgiving weekend - official holiday tomorrow. End of harvest season and all that. And not as big a deal as American Thanksgiving is to you folks.
Well, I've been playing with LunaPic again, varying some of the swirls in ways I hope you and others like as much as you did that one fuzzier one, so there should be plenty to keep you busy later as well! And Happy Thanksgiving--I saw some puzzles saying that Canadians celebrate it now!
You just post whichever ones you paint and we will all solve them!!! hehehehe
Seriously, Kathy gave you a ratio of what she thought was good and it seemed to coincide with what you'd prefer as well. Siouxzn and I said we like them all, and whatever you wish to post, we will solve. So there doesn't seem to be any complaints, we like what you are doing. I'd hate to see the odd ones go away - you have put your own unique spin on swirls, so since the regular ones are easier for you to make, it makes more sense to post more of those and then throw in an odd one from time to time.
A fat lot of help you are, whatnauts! :-))) I was trying to find out if people would prefer more of the regular ones and fewer of the odd ones, in a ratio of maybe 2 to 1 or some such. Do you mean you'd like a 1 to 1 ratio? (And under "regular" I mean ovals and ones like the eggs under easy and the nest of eggs--by odd I mean ones like this puzzle, or the 880--puzzles that have more than one swirl in them...).
I hope my previous comment was as complimentary as I meant it. My daughter called as I was typing. I, literally, can no longer "walk and chew gum" at the same time. :-( :-)
I guess all my taste is in my mouth. :-) But, I love everything. However, I'm especially enamored of this masterpiece. I'll be happy to see one like this every "blue moon". :-)
I appreciate your input, Kathy and Sandy. I think it should be at least two regular to one odd one, if not even a greater ratio. But that may be because I can draw standard swirls much more easily, just varying the proportions, the way they do or don't overlap, the direction the swirl goes and whether or not it reverses direction, and the color scheme. With the odd ones, I have to create a brand new type each time, which is much harder! Maybe that's why I think the ration should favor the standard ones--much less stressful on me! LOL! Thank you both!
Ah, Pat ... great question! I like both, however I'd prefer to see the standard swirls more frequently; about a 3-1 or 5-2 ratio. Haha - Not sure why, since I like both; and not sure why that ratio seems just right... I guess my subconscious knows what it likes! :-))
And I agree with whatnauts - you really did a great job on this one!
I'm glad you see it that way! I got into trouble at the very center, and re-drew it several times. I wanted all 4 to sort of blend into a final circle, but they never did, and I hoped it would look okay, and a single mini-swirl is a cool result--thanks, whatnauts!
Thanks, Kathy! I meant to post a question, so let me start with you--do you prefer the standard swirls, like the blue moon from yesterday, or these variations, like this puzzle or the one people thought was 880? I like making a variety, but if people really prefer one or the other, I'd listen, and make more of that type...
If she isn't yet, I'm sure she will be! I almost called it Tangled Trunks, because it looks a little like my elephant one. Maybe it's Cats in the Hats in a whirlwind... LOL! Thanks, siouxzn--I hope they embraced back!
