I am glad you cleared up the heighth problem, Cathy. I just thought that some REALLY tall ships go under the bridge. Of course, 61 meters is still REALLY high!

Hi Carol. No, I have never felt it sway either.

I will have to check wikipedia also........at one time I could remember how many feet it swings in each direction during stormy weather......it was a scary statistic but I don't remember ever
feeling the motion when crossing, :)

Length 1823 metres or 5890 feet
Tower Height 111 metres or 364 feet
Ships clearance 61 metres or 200 feet
I think Ank was asking about ship's clearance and I should have answered 61 metres. I'm sorry. The Lynn Valley Suspension bridge is 60 metres high ... so about the same height.
