Thanks Jim. I'm glad you noted my correction. Yes, it's high enough. And they tell me, if you walk over it you can see through the metal grid to the water below. Shudder!!!
I am glad you cleared up the heighth problem, Cathy. I just thought that some REALLY tall ships go under the bridge. Of course, 61 meters is still REALLY high!
I will have to check wikipedia also........at one time I could remember how many feet it swings in each direction during stormy weather......it was a scary statistic but I don't remember ever feeling the motion when crossing, :)

I just checked wikipedia and here are the official measurements: Length 1823 metres or 5890 feet Tower Height 111 metres or 364 feet Ships clearance 61 metres or 200 feet I think Ank was asking about ship's clearance and I should have answered 61 metres. I'm sorry. The Lynn Valley Suspension bridge is 60 metres high ... so about the same height.
