First time I've seen a pub open at 9.00am having said that there's a pub in Rochester where you can get breakfast and a pint :-))

Interesting to see two traditional pubs side-by-side. Both have very similar reviews, although The Mitre (http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/themitrebarroyalmileedinburgh/) is one of the Nicholson's chain of pubs . The Royal Mile Tavern (http://www.royalmiletavern.com/) seems to be independent and features music every night - kevin

I'd have to be careful sitting in one of those chairs, it would probably tip over...very undignified.
