Hi Ank. Thank you for your note!

puzzeljac

They sure are catkins, I don't know this kind. There are many kinds. We have this long too, but in a more dark color. It's a beatiful pic.

Thank you Graciela! More snow?! Oh dear. So many areas are having a difficult winter!! You can send some to us if you want to.

Graciela

Beautiful! you are lucky, here (Southern Ontario) more snow tomorrow!

Thank you Lorna!! You win the "name that plant" contest!! Yes, I love these early signs of Spring!!

Thanks for your note Starlord. That is exactly what I thought they were!

starlord

They're long white thingies that grow on trees. As you can see, I paid attention in the biology class

goingsilver

I think they are catkins (otherwise known as lambs' tails) on a hazel tree, but I am no expert! They are a welcome sign of Spring, and nice photo Cathy.

Thank you Denise and Jim! I guess life is full of mysteries.

jcarroll

I agree, Cathy. They are pretty but I don't know what they are, either!

Very pretty cevas, Thank you:-)

Hi Laurajane. No, they were just beside the road as I walked along.

laurajane

Are these in your garden, Cathy?

Thank you for your note DelSol ! Maybe I should change the caption to "What is this??"

DelSol

Whoops, I was going to ask what it was but.... it certainly is pretty. :)

Thank you Lyndee and Lovey !! I hope someone will help us to identify this one. Actually I think this may be two plants. The ivy one in the background and the flowering tree/bush/whatever in the foreground.

loveydear

Really unusual, and ditto on the pretty!

lyndee

I have never seen anything like it Cevas but it sure is pretty.
