MARCUS MARIOTA, quarterback for the University of Oregon is not only a truly nice guy and a fabulous athlete, he won a few awards this year:

Heisman Memorial Trophy: 2014
 Most outstanding player in college football “whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity.” Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.

Davey O’BrienAward: Best National Collegiate Quarterback Award: 2014

Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award: 2014 
Best senior or fourth year quarterback in college football.

Maxwell Award (Player of the Year): 2014
(judged by a panel of sportscasters, sportswriters, and National Collegiate Athletic Association head coaches.)

Walter Camp Player of the Year Award: 2014
(Decided by a group of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I-A head coaches and sports information directors.)

THE DUCK Stats:
The Duck (UO mascot) does a round of pushups for each score UO makes. Example, when the final score was 72 for a game, the Duck wound up doing 506 pushups just for that game. In 2010, he/she did 2,757 pushups, just shy of 230 per game. To see The Duck in action:
