I have never seen anything by Gerald Durrell but I have read all his books. David Attenborough will certainly be sadly missed. Nobody measures up to him when it comes to narrating nature programmes, in my opinion. These days the TV producers often seem too keen to drop people who are getting on in years so obviously they realise just how good and how popular he is. I am also watching the programmes about The Galapagos on Sky One.
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it, Gwen. It makes it all worthwhile. I love David Attenborough's work. Have you ever seen anything by Gerald Durrell? He was the "Amateur Naturalist" in those days. He wrote some 30-odd books, all of which I won. Those two and Farley Mowat (all of whose books I also own) are my three heroes, bar none. Sadly, Durrell died a while back. He was also the brother of author Lawrence Durrell. It will be a sad day when David Attenborough dies. That breed of conservationist doesn't come along often.
Great fun doing this larger puzzle and surprising not in the slowest time considering that I was watching part 1 of David Attenborough's Africa with one eye at the same time.
