I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THAT SPIDER puzzaddled
Well, Karls, you're just as far away from me as you could be, in the land down under! I'm way up here in Canada and I've always wanted to visit both Oz and New Zealand. Someday... That is a interesting fact about that spider that camouflages itself ; I will look forward to seeing the pictures. I can understand protecting the bees. Thanks for the info, Michelle
I LIVE IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA. THE ROSE IS FLORABUNDA. THE BEES LOVE THIS ROSE AS IT HAS EASY ACCESS BEING WIDE OPEN. BUT THERE IS A LITTLE WHITE SPIDER THAT LAYS IN WAIT TO GET THE BEES. IT CHANGES TO THE EXACT COLOUR OF THE ROSE. I LIKE BEES SO I DISPOSE OF THE SPIDER. I WILL GET A PHOTO NEXT TIME puzzaddles
hmmm. Wondering if this is the grandiflora Gold Medal. (Without growth detail, the single bloom usually indicates a hybrid tea or grandiflora.) I really like the yellows for sentimental reasons. In which part of the world do you live? There's no sense me looking for it if I can't grow it, lol. You'll have to jig another picture of it in full open bloom. BTW: I'd prefer LiLYMICHELLE than LILypuzzaddled! Thanks, Karls
NO NONE OF THOSE NAMES. IT IS A VERY TOUGH ROSE . IT HAS BEEN MOVED 3 TIMES AND IT IS NOW WHERE IT LIKES IT. IT OPENS UP QUITE BIG AND NOT TIGHT AT ALL THANKS ROBBIEL. HOPE GOOGLE RUNS WITH THE IDEA..
Looking up roses is not easy, your suggestion for google few days ago was an excellent one. Well these are ones with "gold" in the name, ring any bells?
Cloth of Gold.......Climber.
Golden Gate........Climber and rambler.
Golden Future.....Climber and rambler.
The others that I found were not a tight bud like this one.
I CALL THE ROSE... LILYpuzzaddled. NO THE LABEL FELL OFF IT HAS GOLD IN ITS NAME, THATS ALL I REMEMBER.
RIGHT ON robryan.
AS FOR Robbiel...JUST JEALOUSY...AT LEAST IT WASNT TAKEN WITH A FOGGED UP LENS:-)
Very nice KARLS - showing the true Aussie colours!!
Hey KARLS, this is a beauty.....Is it plastic?......Hee-hee.
What a beauty! Do you know the name of the rose? (er...apologies to Umberto Eco)
