Thanks for the info---I think I must've know that little fact at some time, but it got lost somewhere...Did you see the latest picture I posted of my newest grand?

If you post a comment on a very old puzzle of mine, no one else will see it, and I will find it right away by clicking on the "most recent comment" function. That works for anyone with posted puzzles, as long as they check that box--I do it several times each day, which is how I found your comment only hours after you posted it, even though this isn't a new puzzle. I do that with a number of people, to have private conversations. But if you don't want to do that, I will give you my email. :-)))

Have had some pressing (not calamitous) family/medical situations that needed tending to---am now staying with/visiting my daughter in Alabama---Internet connections sometimes sketchy, but I think I can make an appearance fairly regularly so that I can keep up with everyone, I've missed you all---am glad to be back----I wish there was a way to communicate personally with a few people off site----I've missed you all--Norma (aka Wishbone).

You're back!!!!!!! I left a comment on your last puzzle--Country Road--hoping to find out how you were doing--it's so good to have you back!!! And was that last bit deliberate "what's he difference"?! If so, you're hilarious; if not, you're hilarious anyway! :-)))))))

I hope everything is okay, and that you're back to stay for a long, long time! I missed you, Norma!

Thanks, Gail! I Googled it by asking for "a game where you try to connect pieces across the board", and it actually gave me an answer--Hex.

I think that there are probably other games, too--even Connect 4 is the same basic idea... I'm glad you enjoyed my version!

My grandson has a game like that that I played with him a few times. This was fun, Pat.

I think there's a game that uses tiles or marbles or some such pieces, where the ones playing try to make connecting lines without crossing over a different color., and their opponents try to block them. I sort of played this against myself, starting in the upper right corner, trying to make interesting patterns with balanced amounts of squares and varying shapes--I had to erase several times to get them to go as far as I wanted. It was lots of fun to make, so I'm glad you enjoyed it, too--thanks!
