That is true. Maybe it could be made into a pillow with crewel. Are you going to try it?

Gaillou - crewl stichery is very versatile, so it can be stiched. You can crochet this pattern too, but the result won't be just like your puzzle image.

The colors depend on where I put the cursor when making the kaleidoscope. I will post some more tomorrow or later this week.

Isn't it amazing how it turned out to look crocheted. The original image was a number of spools of crocheted thread. What you see at the edges represents that a little more clearly.

I really enjoyed the handicrafted look, but I'm unsure of the blue sculls encircling the tender croched doily....
