West Hall, Valdosta State University
Named for Senator (Col.) West, this is the oldest building on campus. It was completed in 1917. West is the iconic symbol of the school. It's use has changed throughout the years. When I was in High school there was an art studio in the dome. When I was an undergrad here, the dome was an archaeology lab. In 1986 the building was completely gutted and restored to it's original condition with an open dome (no floor). The building now houses Administration offices.
