Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Cassie is making infinity scarves for her senior project with all proceeds (about $10 per scarf) going to Feed My Starving Children (fmsc.org). Her goal was 10 but she has orders for almost 50. So guess what grandma is doing. I'm working on number 5 for her and so far some of my Knit Wit friends have made 6 with 5 more started. Cassie has made about 7 but hopes to do a lot more now that she has a holiday weekend and her trimester finals are over. I'm so proud of her!

Thank you, Mary and Sue. She is really special and a blessing to many.

Ah, now I can see how lovely the scarf is. Very pretty and such a lovely model as well.

How wonderful to have such a treasure for a Granddaughter. If only there were more teens with her values, "what a wonderful world this would be", to quote Louie Armstrong. You are a very lucky Grandma. :-))))))))). And, BTW, I like the 'Happy Hookers' name, it's leaves everyone guessing. LOL

I'm happy to share her. She really is a wonderful person. Thank you for your sweet comments, Ardy.

Beautiful young lady in every sense of the word. Lovely workmanship too. You have every reason to be proud. Thanks for sharing this creative and caring granddaughter.

Thank you, Josie. She is a treasure, that's for sure.

Well, you sound like a real grandma, and you should. Sounds like she takes after you, on the inside and on the outside too. She is a blessing and a crown, thank you for sharing.

Gaillou

Thanks, Joyce. I'm sure she'll bring her crocheting with her later this afternoon. She had no idea she would get so many orders. Now a few teachers have ordered some, too! I guess that means less kaleido making for me. Anything for my granddaughter.

Beautiful girl and you have every right to be proud of her. Not enough kids are willing to give up so much of their time. She's a real Gold Star person. :))))

Gaillou

Linda, she does have a wonderfully compassionate heart. Her heritage is quite a mix. She is 1/4 Tunisian, 1/4 Brazilian, and 1/2 British Isles mix (Scottish, Irish, English) with a touch of Venezuelan.

Gailarino

Thank you, Edie and Linda. She charged $15 for each scarf. She figures the cost of the yarn to be about $5 so $10 of each will go to the charity. She really should be charging at least $20 for them. That's what they go for in the stores. She came into Culvers a week ago and told them about her project and signed up volunteers. Most of the Knit Wits only knit but some crochet. A few, like me, do both. I always joke that Knit Wits is a better name than Happy Hookers. LOL.

Way to go, Cassie! The world needs more people like and all those who have volunteered to help you with your project. She is a beautiful granddaughter, grandma, not just on the outside but where she won't change but for the better over her life. Great job grandma. :)

It's all for a good cause but could you imagine having to make them to earn a living at $10 per scarf. She would have to start charging a lot more for them. Good on her for her giving heart :-))))
