Why are you reporting this puzzle?

My (other) sister (who lives near Albany, NY) had never heard of a Giant Swallowtail until she saw it in the pictures of butterflies I sent around to the family. The next day, in her garden with her camera, she saw one, and captured this!!

Her picture of the Painted Lady (http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=B78Z9YWD), and mine of the Monarch, and now this one, are all on zinnias. She says, "Next year, I'm going to plant more zinnias!"

My compliments to your sister Don. Great photo!
I agree with RoseHeather the underside is more interesting.

Great capture. I actually like the under wing better than the upper wing. So much more interesting in design and color.

The first we saw the Giant was on our Buddleia. For two years we had one visit on Labor Day. But we didn't see one this year. However, our Buddleia has had to start from the ground up this year, because of the snow this past winter, so the bush has not been that prolific with blooms.

Indeed.....how lucky to have in your own garden AND get a picture!!! Speaking of zinnias...I had a sweet little goldfinch gleaning some potted zinnias in my garden....I wasn't as swift as your sister...by the time I grabbed my camera, it flew off..... I agree...more zinnias next year!!!
