The tunnel to Detroit wasn't too far north of this picture. Used to take the bus over on Saturdays when I was about 12 to 16 years old - alone. Would shop on Woodward Ave. and come home - usually with something hidden somewhere. Learned smuggling at a young age.
Oh, yes. I'm a first generation Scot, and I can remember my mother going to Windsor at least once a month to get her meat pies and blood sausage, and of course I went along. We took the bus, and it was always an adventure for a little girl.
I love looking at things like this, although I dont know any of the buildingd etc. one look at the cars and you know more or less when it was .Thanks Jan. Brad's work is amazing and it was a most interesting set.
