We have come to the end of another exciting day. Yesterday a new crest, today a new star. Wonder what tomorrow will bring ? So to everyone wishing on a star tonight, I hope your wishes come true :o)

Cue harmonica .................roll credits ............. night night :o)

PS : Good morning naughty Neville, hope you and marvellous Marge have a great Saturday, catch you later :))

ladycharnley

LoL Major Don - with 'Do You Remember' embroidered on the top pocket.

MajorDon

yes and there is the jigidi uniform that you have to wear too :))))) (pyjamas)

ladycharnley

Squishy - I need to persuade you to get an av. Starlord is brilliant and has some excellent ideas. He will help you with suggestions but you will have to give him your email address as you don't have a Facebook account, which, brings me neatly to a double, double dog dare to get a Facebook account and join us in the chat room. Your statue is looking lonely and needs presenting to you.
Neville - you need an av too. Starlord could do the African Queen for you - with or without crocodiles :)))))

bentleyd

:-)))))

starlord

MajorDon

pkin38

:~))))))

starlord

A very appropriate slogan, Squish :-)

squishy2

serus is late - Always late in the morning, majord.

starlord

I think it's a lot easier Aggie. Good morning.
Yesterday everyone looked the same with those silhouettes

aggie

Good morning starlord and everyone here - This is a whole new look and now I have to figure who everybody is including in the comments - very impressive.

starlord

Always in the morning, Major D :-)

MajorDon

what is serus Squishy?

squishy2

My family crest is "Semper serus mane".

starlord

Now if ever I heard a nice slogan, then the one of Nevile is :-)
And indeed, Timothy was the first hit of the Buoys, but not here.
Give up your guns was a hit in the States and Belgium/Netherlands.
No idea it didn't make it to the 'islands' :-)
Let's just rank this puzzle by the 'unsolvables' :-)
And yet, it's a nice song... I think

ladycharnley

Neville. You may wish to consider using your family crest as your av too.

ladycharnley

Most kind of you to observe Neville :)))

ulangariver

Thank you, lady c. Your attention to the idiosyncracies of Heraldry knows no bounds.

ladycharnley

Well Neville, thank you, however, that nice little bit of Latin means - and I quote you understand - "Always keep your arse covered"

ulangariver

I love your Coat-of-Arms, lady c. My family crest has Latin at the bottom of it too - it reads
"semper nates scuto defende", but I have no idea what that means.

ladycharnley

Well I was a little bit close with the Turtles ... buoys... water etc - ok nevermind lol
no ceegar today :))))

squishy2

Interesting name for a band. I thought it was a misspelling of that famous Welsh band - The Boyos.

ulangariver

Interesting (for want of a better word) story about the lyrics to this song - three guys trapped in a mine, so two of them ate Timothy........

squishy2

Morning all! Late again... Wow! Starlord did it. I would never have got this -despite the clues.

ulangariver

I'll second lady c (with tongue in cheek). The Buoys are unheard of here in Oz, but they do rate a mention in the Gospel According to Billboard - got to No.17 with "Timothy", in April '71.

ladycharnley

Oh The Buoys, of course ..... well this means Starlord has won today and should go on to the EHoF :))))

It's The Buoys - that well known group in err....m er.....

MajorDon

just a warning - I've got the answer from Starlord - never heard of them, nor the music -

ladycharnley

could that be because it is not Alabama3

ladycharnley

i looked at alabama3 and they don't bear any resemblance

ladycharnley

alabama 3

starlord

I just gave the first line of their greatest hit, Major D :-)
Late 70's
That should be enough

ladycharnley

oops sorry, I've said them already ....

ladycharnley

The Heatwave ?

MajorDon

come on Starlord - give us a year of their big hit - been reading about bankrobbers for the past 20 minutes

ladycharnley

I know the Eagles have been because I won that one :)

starlord

When I woke up this morning...

starlord

Good evening Neville... No Bonzo etc
And not the Eagles either :-)
Lady C, are you keeping a logbook? :-)

ladycharnley

The Eagles were posted on 6th April Major

MajorDon

no Neville - that was Urban spaceman

MajorDon

it's not the eagles is it - where is Don Henley?

ulangariver

I'm going for Bonzo Dog Doodah Band (sorry not sure of spelling).

ulangariver

Good morning starlord & all starlord fans. Sorry to be so late to the party; but I really cannot assist here at all. They do not look at all familiar.

starlord

When the answer is given, maybe all will say: never heard of them :-)
Well, not Them, but them :-)

ladycharnley

The Turtles ..... lol

starlord

They fall in Autumn, Lady C...
Wonder if this band is in Neville's Rock Bible :-)

starlord

Here's clue 2: their greatest hit was a song about a bankrobber.

starlord

No Lady C... on both occasions :-(

ladycharnley

The Firefall ?

starlord

You're into Steve's now... :-)
But twice... We regret to inform you that both answers are ... incorrect :-(

ladycharnley

The Heatwave ?

MajorDon

Steve Miller band

MajorDon

Steve Gibbons band

starlord

Indeed you were... Some 2 inches on a small globe :-)
And a couple of years, but hey... what's another year? :-)

MajorDon

well I was close

starlord

American actually... late seventies :-)

MajorDon

English, early 70s?

starlord

No Lady C, not the Turtles :-) Nor the James Gang...

ladycharnley

Is it The James Gang ?

ladycharnley

OK Starlord - just for the record I will say is it The Turtles ?

starlord

Morning Major D. Thought you would pop up with the right answer instantly :-)
That hot over there? My my my, time to put on your sunglasses :-)

starlord

You're wild guessing now, aren't you? Now suppose it was The Turtles, I wouldn't be able to say 'yes' as The Grateful Dead is there too :-)
Starting my morning routine now, which means: doggywalk :-)
I'll be back soon though...

MajorDon

Good morning everyone - they sure look familiar but after yesterday that means little. Another scorchio day in (wherever I live)

ladycharnley

The Turtles or The Grateful Dead ?

starlord

They had a great hit indeed, but alas :-(

ladycharnley

I know, how about - The Band :)))) LOL

ladycharnley

oh - ok - it's only 7.30 here you know and I've not had my tea yet - but thank you for pointing that out.

starlord

None of the bands mentioned, Lady C... shouldn't that be 'the centre of your memory'? :-)
Funny thing is: I left one word on the card, the article :-)
And none of the bands you mention has an article :-)

ladycharnley

Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath - just thought I would eliminate the obvious before I go on my journey to the Centre of the Earth :o)

starlord

Morning Lady C :-)

ladycharnley

Good morning world - hi Starlord, Starlord fans and good morning/evening Neville :))))
