Hi Cathy I agree, they are delicious, I like them too. You often see them as windmills but we also have other shapes. Speculaas is also the cookie that belongs to Sinterklaas (Dec.5). Speculaas with hot chocolate. I I did not expect them to you for sale.Hi Monica, you feel your roots. Have you any idea where the family comes from. Yes then you have to try to visit NL once. I hope you can.
As a matter of fact, I do have Dutch in me, I got it from my mother's side of the family! I think that is part of the reason that I love everything about Holland and have always wanted to visit there! I've always found it to be so very fascinating!
Hi Ank. Yes, we can buy them here and they are delicious!! They are usually in the shape of windmills !!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.Of course, as much as you want and some more. This was perfect Dutch. Do you have "speculaas" in Canada? Do you know the taste? Thanks dear, hugs
Mag ik alsjeblieft wat koekjes ... speculaas ? Heel hartelijk bedankt.
You will have your tea, do you like to eat something with it.
Oh! I'd love a cup of tea! And this is a beautiful tea house!!
Hi girls. It's lovely indeed. Did you ever found out about the roots of you families? Maybe there is some Dutch in you both. Thanks
I'm with lyndee about Holland, as I too have always wanted to see the windmills, their beautiful tulips of sooooo many colors, and I want to take pictures of all of their wonderful old buildings! I just absolutely love their architecture there! This a an incredible tea house Ank, I love it, as it's exactly what I thought it would look like when you posted this pic! I love everything about it from the roof to the ground! I too, would love to join you for tea, your going to have quite a crowd by the time we all show up there! Sure hope you can handle all of us! L.O.L.
If I could visit one country, it would be Holland. I don't know why but I just have visions of a fabulous place full of windmills, tulips and beautiful buildings like this one.
Girls we wait for you, take your time, everything is virtual so there is no problem. Hugs. (sorry also virtual)
Interesting entranceway, and window aboves design!! Did you save me a seat? I'll be there shortly!! (I wish) :)
Tea time? I'll be right there!
Thanks Annetta, Lorna, Sissy, Hanne, Jan and Jan.We can all go there, it's never too late. You don't see the red design very much, but it's typical Dutch.Je hebt helemaal gelijk Annetta, typisch Nederlands. Het was een heerlijke wandeling, Bakkeveen ligt even ten zuiden van Drachten. Ik woon aan de zuidgrens van Leeuwarden. Waar ben jij?
If it's not too late, Ank, I would love to join you! This is just a beautiful looking place to stop! I love the tiled roof and the shutters, especially! Thanks! :D
Beautiful, I have noticed the red design before, is this a common design or is their any special meaning for this?
It's a fabulous house, but still I don't like you know what!! Thanks so very much Ank!!
